"antiGuitarra" era una idea que me rondaba por la cabeza desde 2016. Cuando he tenido las herramientas idóneas para llevarla a cabo, sampleé todos los sonidos de mi vieja guitarra de ciprés y algunos más. Y he creado, así, un EP con seis piezas complejas y con un sonido detallado y diferente, de corta duración pero que dicen tanto de quien fui cuando aprendí a tocar la guitarra a los doce años y de quien soy ahora, que encaro el futuro con mi electrónica tan mía.

"antiGuitarra" was an idea that had been on my mind since 2016. When I had the right tools to make it, I sampled all the sounds of my old cypress guitar and some more. And I have created, thus, an EP with six complex pieces with a detailed sound, of short duration but that say so much about who I was when I learned to play the guitar at the age of twelve and who I am now, facing the future with my custom electronica.

Novo Pinto plays, samples and sequences: cypress flamenco guitar, reversed guitar lines (almost like a synth but not), percussive instruments as rare as two small cubes and a wooden wedge, the German spruce top of the guitar, chopsticks, latilla, a plastic water bottle; plus the sound of the ocean that I hear close to home.
