jsu21 is a virtual band that I conceived for my electronic music more experimental, more extreme, more out of the corset that, unfortunately, still constrains electronic music. After a few singles, jsu21 debuts his first EP, "imagínate".
"imagínate" (as written, in lowercase) is an allegation that we all imagine since we are very small and we remain loyal to what we are imagining of ourselves when we grow up. We also show in "imagínate" our love for contemporary and postmodern dance. At jsu21 we are pleased to see the dancers of the future grow, we enjoy their evolutions in time and space, we see them grow as dancers and, therefore, as movement artists. Hence, all subjects have to do with contemporary and postmodern dance, with the freedom of the body in motion. Some more than others, the three pieces of "imagine" are not only for you to listen to, but also for you to move while listening to them. The choreography and you have to imagine it. So... imagínate...
Thanks to Sage Rosen, Joziah German, Parker Garrison, Daniela Pombo, Brady Farrar, Gavin Morales, Nicholas Bustos, Holden Maples, Easton Magliarditi, Aydin Eyikan and Shale Wagman (and those still to be discovered) for having inspired one of our best works. And, of course, the great Isadora Duncan, for having existed and giving wings to the dance of the future!
